it sort of hit me just now. in the middle of us talking. it felt like the war was never gonna end and now it's... here

[ before he had a cause, he had running away to be a space pirate. and he's kind of over that whole lifestyle. it was a Different Time. he's old now. zorii probably blacklisted him.

the right thing was important to him, and he did it, and now...? career military doesn't feel quite right. he general-ed them out of the war, his job is done. the politics of the aftermath? that was a leia thing. and... well...

if his parents got to retire and hang out on a farm and whatever, he deserves to, too. his own vine and fig tree.

he still wants to be out there. flying in space. maybe that's the place to start. (maybe oscar isaac is right and he'll become an uber driver.) ]

we could just travel for awhile. get out there. see some nice places without getting shot at.

[ this is literally exactly the same brain cell. for finn it has not occurred to consider "going their separate ways" at any point. call him a little too optimistic or sure about what he does know he wants for the future, but definitely they should be doing everything as a unit, like they've earned.

poe did say "we go together" earlier. he echoed it. that's a lifetime commitment. the only thing they were missing was demanding for threepio to marry them in the span of 30 seconds. ]

I'd like that. Take a break. See what's out there.

You ever get to do much traveling for fun before all this?

not really. I mean I have before, but not a lot. Always busy with other things. I saw a lot of places with the spice runners and the new republic but I never really got to relax and take it all in

I went to spira once. It was nice. You'd like it
